Green Valley Languages and Arts School attended the first ever Indian Languages Schools Parents and Teachers Conference, organised by the Sydney Sanskrit School (School of Vedic Sciences (Australia) Inc.), and supported by the Community Languages Schools Program of the Department of Education under the ‘Communities United through Language’ reform initiative of the NSW Government.

The conference worked to create synergy among the Indian communities, empowering schools teaching a range of Indian languages to network and be empowered to work together and contribute towards the sustenance of language and culture for the next generation. A wide range of Indian languages were represented at the conference, including Hindi, Sanskrit, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bangla, Tamil, Urdu, Gujrati, Marathi, Kannada and Telegu.
